All my Long Covid Symptoms
On this page I’ve gathered and summarized all the symptoms I personally experienced since developing Long Covid. Some appeared suddenly, others emerged gradually over time. Together, they form a broad and often overwhelming picture of how deeply Long Covid can affect the body, nervous system and daily life. This overview is not meant as a diagnosis, but as a way to create recognition, clarity and understanding for those navigating similar experiences.
Neurological & Cognitive
Headaches
Dizziness
Brain fog
Balancing problems (frequent bruising from bumping into things)
Reflex problems (dropping crockery, clumsiness)
Oversensitivity to noise, light, and smells
Blurred vision
Shaky legs after minimal activity (e.g., 5 minutes of doing dishes)
Sleep & Fatigue
Chronic tiredness / fatigue
Post-exertional malaise (PEM)
Disturbed sleep rhythm (delayed from ~22:30–06:30 to 02:00/03:00/04:00–10:00/11:00)
Non-restorative sleep
Apnoea (linked to mucus and MCAS)
Respiratory
Shortness of breath (panting)
Chronic cough
Mucus build-up in nose, throat, ethmoid sinus (disrupting sleep)
Loss of voice
Sore throat (on and off)
Lung embolism
Cardiovascular & Circulatory
High heart rate day and night
POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome)
Chronic increase in temperature (low-grade fever)
Poor wound healing
Easy bruising
Musculoskeletal & Pain
Chronic aching in the whole body
Muscle weakness and trembling
Hair ache (pain in scalp/hair roots)
Itchy and inflamed scalp
Immune & Inflammatory
Chronic/recurrent inflammation all over the body (also toenails)
MCAS (mast cell activation syndrome) → allergies, mucus, rashes
Blister-like rash
Recurring bladder infections
Recurring eye inflammations
Allergic reactions and increased sensitivities
Gastrointestinal & Metabolic
Abdominal cramps
Stomach aches
Insulin resistance
Weight gain
Skin, Hair & Nails
Hair loss (for 2 months)
Itchy scalp inflammation
Skin inflammation
Brittle/infected toenails
Rash (blister-like)
Mental & Emotional
Oversensitivity for noise, light and eventually smell
Feelings of isolation (no travel, no social life)
